Meet Anthony.
Anthony is passionate about why things work the way they do, new technology and products. During his rare time off he’s usually swotting up on the newest energy efficiency forum or looking at heat curves for different boilers!
His passion shines through when dealing with customers and he’s always ready to share his knowledge, provide tips and find the right solutions for your plumbing and heating queries.
On a personal level, Ant cares about the planet and is an avid scuba diver (before fatherhood)! He loves the environment and nature and in a business that deals in earth’s vital resources of water and gas, it’s important to him that we improve our sustainability and environmental impact as a company.

Meet Sian.
Sian joined the business 8 years ago, following an extensive and fast-paced career in ports, both in the UK and abroad. Sian’s roles have included vessel, project, port and offshore personnel management for a mixture of public and private sector companies, she brings firm organisation and process management to Smart Heating.
Sian’s main role, when not picking up the plumbing tools herself, is to ensure jobs are scheduled and completed correctly and to time, leaving problems solved and our customers happy!
Sian’s career started with Oceanography and Marine Biology, so it’s no surprise that she shares Ant’s passion for scuba diving (pre-motherhood!) and commitment to look at how Smart Heating can reduce our environmental impact within the Gas Industry.

Operations & Logistics
No two days are ever the same at Smart Heating EA Ltd, and that’s exactly what I love. Every project is different, giving me the opportunity to learn something new while ensuring everything behind the scenes runs as smoothly as possible.
Customers often don’t see the amount of planning that goes into every job. From researching the best products to sourcing quality materials at great value, I take pride in making sure every detail contributes to a first-class customer experience. I love finding products that not only perform brilliantly but also give our customers complete confidence in the solutions we provide.
If I had to describe myself in three words, I’d choose calm, friendly and dependable. Around the office, I’m fuelled by plenty of tea (with the occasional latte treat!), a good challenge and the satisfaction of knowing I’ve helped make someone’s day a little easier.
One of the things I’m most proud of is the family culture we’ve built at Smart Heating EA Ltd. We genuinely care about our customers and treat every home with the same respect we’d expect for our own. Heating and plumbing don’t always go to plan, but we’re committed to being honest, supportive and building relationships that last long after the job is complete.

Meet Conner.
Gas Engineer
What I enjoy most about my job is being able to help customers solve problems and leave them with a smile on their face. Whether it’s finding the cause of an issue or getting everything working as it should, there’s nothing better than knowing I’ve made a difference to someone’s day.
I think customers appreciate my honesty and communication. I always try to keep people in the loop, explain what’s happening and make sure they feel confident about the work being carried out in their home. If I had to describe myself in three words, I’d choose confident, adaptable and friendly.
Working at Smart Heating EA Ltd has given me the opportunity to develop my customer service, communication and problem-solving skills while meeting new people every day. I’m particularly proud of the hard work and determination I’ve put into becoming a qualified gas engineer, and I’m always looking for opportunities to keep learning and developing.
One piece of advice I’d give any homeowner is not to ignore the early warning signs. The cheapest fix is often the one you catch early, so if something doesn’t sound or feel right with your heating system, it’s always worth getting it checked before a small issue becomes a much bigger one.

Our Norwich Based Team.
We are a team of four – Anthony, Sian, Hattie, Conner, and trusted multi-trade contractors across our heating and plumbing services, and we plan to expand both our engineering and operational capacity over the next few years.
Smart Heating values grass-roots youth employment and development, and traditional avenues of recruitment deliver. We can attract the right type of people to complement the overall team dynamic, ensuring the sustainability and future of the company, with the right level of skills and experience to uphold the quality standard in years to come.
Ongoing training and exceptional customer service go hand in hand for us; our customers rely on us to know the latest options and solutions, so we train all our staff ‘on the job’, with supplementary specialist training to fill knowledge gaps as they appear, and as we learn and grow as a company.
We are part of IGEM (Institution of Gas Engineers & Managers) which gives us access to training resources and industry best practice, to keep our national and technical knowledge up to date. This is particularly important for us, as our interest in hydrogen as a mainstream energy source becomes more prevalent and available nationwide.
